Event Details

Our event is now called Sweets and Tweets. More about this social media event series here.

Our first event, to be held at the ultra cool Baked & Wired in Georgetown, will feature HHS social media guy Andrew Wilson, who will talk about the new HHS Center for New Media as well as using social media in a crisis.

Wilson was involved with the creation of the HHS/FDA /CDC social media page. This is a resource created in four days to educate consumers and enable them to spread the word about the peanut butter product recall related to salmonella.

No April Fool's

  • The first 10 registrants will each receive a signed copy of Debbie Weil’s The Corporate Blogging Book. (One copy per company or organization attending.)

  • Every attendee gets one yummy cupcake.

Baked & Wired’s cupcakes were declared the best in the nation in the March 2009 issue of The Atlantic.

Use Twitter hashtag #blogcakes to help us promote the event and to Twitter it live.
